Price to enter is only $2.00 per automobile and you enter a very well maintained park with many trails, picnic areas, lake access, and jutting old mine scrapings that have live oak trees growing on them. Children playing everywhere. We saw alligators, turtles, fish, birds, and listened and saw many different kinds of bird species. This park was a wonderful... More

We love to go to fish and play in the hills. Havent caught much lately but we have fun anyway. This park is fun with a boat or canoe.

This park has almost anything you'd want for an outdoorsy attraction. Find the area with the playground in the middle and rent the pavillion across from the hill of grand old oaks the kids (and adults, too!) can climb in and around. Lots of hiking trails, disc-golf, fishing with a permit, kayaking, open fields for a game of football or... More

We visited friends who were camping at one of Medard Park's lovely, shaded campsites and decided to take a walk to the lake/reservoir that is near the picnic area. What a gorgeous place, especially around sunset when we saw it. As we walked out onto the boardwalk, we saw many heron of various colors, egrets, and some kind of smaller... More

Enjoyed a great Saturday picnic with our Church folks, nice shelter pavilion to keep the sun off the shade lovers. BBQ Grill large and served us well. Lots of playground equipment for the kids, plenty of running room. Kids loved exploring 'up the hill', which has some light woods too. $2 a carload is fair considering there is no longer... More

Medard is a large park with great areas for parties, picnics, or family outings. There are plenty of places to walk for exercise, many fishing areas, and lots of shade for picnics or relaxing. Very nice campground as well.
