The Edward Medard Park is tucked away in eastern Hillsborough County between Brandon and Plant City. The Park extends along 1,284 acres where a dike, control structure and reservoir offer some flood protection along the Alafia River. In 1972, under an agreement with the District, Hillsborough County developed this site as one of its largest and most popular regional parks, visited yearly by more than 400,000 people.

This is a nice park & very quiet. Restroom facilities are clean, pavilions are a great size for a picnic or party. Many things to do.

For us, this was all about our kids playing the exposed roots of trees on some dunes overlooking the park. There is a playground, disc golf, place to walk, and these great trees for climbing,

This county park is beautifully maintained. It has activities for everyone. Moving thru the campground with a large motor coach would be challenging, but doable. Fishing areas are easily accessible and some are shaded. We saw several groups playing disc frisbee. I suggest you check...More

I was lucky enough to visit while the gators are in mating season , to see and hear the male calling the female . Then the area where the roots from the trees you can climb. Amazing park and great place to explore .

Wonderful view of Birds and wild life. Good fishing. Great place for kids in the pay area and for parties. Boat ramp and close to gas and food. Nice shaded areas for your next event

This is a great place for picnics family gathering and fishing something for everyone hiking trails kids can run and play not very expensive great outdoors

I don't think so you can spend dedicated time to visit this place, if you are passing by from there and you want to spend some time then its ok but not good for special visit

Used to be a nice place to go fishing but if you leave your vehicle too long the vultures will strip the rubber off windshield wipers and around your windows.

Lovely park which is very peaceful. Lovely walk with the dogs. Great for bird watching. Also has public washrooms.

Yes. $2.00 to fish, and a nominal fee per carload to enjoy the park. Don't miss seeing the Sacred hill.
