Nice walking trails. Found a spot to get in the river with a rope swing. 2 teenagers LOVED it! Saw lots a beautiful flowers, bridges, a gopher and lots of mud! But the kiddos loved walking in it. Had a great time!

Free parking. Really good circular walking trails suitable for all ages. Interesting information boards, a brochure with map available, observation decks and plenty of shade. Would recommend going in morning before it gets too hot!

Well maintained and maked trails. Interesting Eco-Center. Bring the kids. Comfortable walks for 70 yr olds vary from 0.5 mile to about 2 miles. Benches placed appropriately for a brief rest as needed.

My cousin and I went on a cloudy Sat morning. We first went into nature center building and the woman told us which trails were good to hike and not flooded since we had recently had lots of rain. Luckily we brought our umbrellas because it rained a little bit. We had a great time and took dozens of pics. Trails were well maintained and easy to hike. Boardwalks were wet and a little slippery but we knew that since there was a sign warning us. We will definitely be back to hike the other trails.

I was amazed at the diversity of the eco-systems in this park. Some of the trails are easy broad avenues, while others are rough terrain along the river. The visitor center is well planned with some interesting exhibits and a great classroom space.

Hiked some of the trails, saw a tortoise. The map shows the trail along the St. Lucie River to be mostly straight...lots of twist and turns and roots along this trail. The observation tower was interesting, but not a panoramic overview. The "Scrub Jay Trail" became rather swampy and the "board walk" needs repair, I turned back...maybe if I had hiking boots or "swampers". Board walk on connector trail between Gopher Tortoise Trail and Blue Heron Trail was okay, even had a bench. Informative displays. Rained twice while I was walking, find a couple palm trees close together, stand between them. Good experience.

We went for a little walk to see the centre and ended walking the whole outside edge trail because it was enjoyable.
We learned a few things from the forest displays and just had a great time.
This park is close to get to.
I did not see any gators but was told they could be near by. I saw many interesting plants and waterways.
The outside trail is a longer walk with some small steeper hills.

Great place to walk with multiple trail options. And a great place for the dogs to walk as well.
There are easier loop trails and a longer option that runs along the river.

I really like this park. It’s big, has lots of wildlife and super clean. It has an observation deck as well. I saw snakes, armadillos, birds and lots of other things!
