There are many tigers, bears. The lions were under veterinarian care. Many birds. A fox, some monkeys. We were disappointed with the clutter, which may be what they consider decoration. They are volunteers who work and we were appreciative of they're time.

What an extraordinary place hidden off a back road. Lions, tigers and bears (oh my) all of which have been rescued from abusive situations. Oh, yes, they also have apes, birds, ducks and a donkey. This is a bare bones operation, with no pretense of...More

We all should support Octagon! Big cats + other smaller animals -- if not for animal sanctuaries where these animals live out their normal live, then would be sadly euthanized. Owners not wanting, or gov't confiscation, or closing TV needs or closing circuses, then the...More

My wife and I visited today with a group. Fantastic work these volunteers do. This is certainly worth a trip to see these rescued animals who are well taken care of. All proceeds go directly to animal care. Our volunteer "guide" was very informative and...More

We stop by when we go to Arcadia. Right off of hwy 31 and across from Babcock Ranch. This is a nursing home for wild animals that were bred in captivity. All volunteer staff.

This is a small rescue home for wild animals who can't be released back into the wild. Run entirely by volunteers, you walk around and get to see bears, tortoises, tigers, up close. They have got a super collection of tigers, and unlike zoos where...More

The website - on the Home Page - has to the top right of the screen "No Pets Please." I'd imagine they would not allow them, even zippered in. Even though the sanctuary animals are in enclosures, you are close enough to... More
