The fortifications were physically interesting and the history uncovered many unknown facts. Fun for adults and kids alike. Was a great way to celebrate the anniversary of the parks system.

Visited this Spanish fort. Walked around Thanksgiving day it was closed. It's along bay. Lovely grounds someone was having a picnic. Received the history of the fort from Trolley drivers. I think it would be interesting to visit inside!

Very well preserved historic fort. Actors in period costume and cannons fired at imaginary enemies... Super experience for kids. Tons to explore! Recommend

This is more of a walk through and explore than a tour. I gave it only 4 because I am a homeschooling mom and would've loved a thorough tour for our children. However, there were many men dressed for the era walking around ready to take pictures and to chat. After the cannon shooting, we spoke with one of the... More

We got there right before they shot the cannon off. We enjoyed hearing about the history of the area.

took the grandchildren to visit the fort and it was free entrance because of the storm the following weekend which was great so if they lost interest you didn't feel like you lost money.

I always enjoy visiting the fort. Walking around trying to imagine what those men did everyday. So much history. I enjoy when the park rangers share history stories. And when they have characters dressed in real time. Definitely visit the fort. It's great for all ages.

It is amazing to see what was built so long ago and the location is incredible. The staff of the Park Service is knowledgeable and helpful and whole experience should not be missed.

The location is easily within walking distance of anything in the Old City. Even so the parking lot at the site is accommodating. The fort is a phenomenal example of how the colonial Spanish fortified the coast line. The coquina construction and the positioning show how formidable it would be, even today. This is truly a historic site that deserves... More
