My husband and I came here on a whim while visiting St. Augustine and were pleasantly surprised with how much we enjoyed our visit. The ferry ride to the fort was neat and the fort itself was terrific! Our park ranger gave an excellent description...More

It's a great visit, free ride on a boat to a small island. The castle itself although small is very cool to explore. We enjoyed this visit.

First visit to the fort and well worth the ferry ride! It's not that big but the story about it is well worth the trip over to it!! The guide answered any questions we had!

You take a pontoon boat across the Matanzas River and explore the fort. Great way to experience rural Florida and the history of this region. NPS officers give excellent narrative.

Arrive before noon and could not get a boat until after one. So we walked the shore and viewed the welcome center and caterpillars.

8 months ago a hurricane took out the boat dock, so no visits to the fort. We have done this twice in the past and it has been one of our favorite stops in St. Augustine; we were so disappointed to not be able to...More
