There are all kinds of shops, magic, clothes, candy, ice-cream,souvenirs, galleries, tours, wine tasting, and many restaurants. One can spend several hours here. Center of the city. Great shopping and people watching. Great restaurant mid-way down the lane at the Columbia. Enjoy!

Loved how walkable St. Augustine is! St. George Street is pedestrian only, with lots of different shops, restaurants, snacks. Great to people watch. Only problem is the limited parking, which can be pricey depending on where you park! Can easily walk to many places from here!

Loved the walk down the street. Tons of shops and eateries along the way, beautiful buildings. We were here 3 days and saw something different every day.

St. George street is a pedestrian only walk which is part open air mall, a history walk, and " people watching." Lots of neat stores with everything from junk to heirlooms, t-shirts to tuxes, ice cream to full sit-down dinner spots. Historical markers everywhere. It's a fun walk well worth the time... oh, and don't forget to get some fudge... More

I guess if you like buying China made trinkets and such it's a good stop.. There were a couple cool places that we made a stop at and loved: the French pastry cafe to try macaroons, the hyppo Ice pop store, behind the hyppo is a vintage men's toiletries stand, and the pirate/treasure museum. If you go, make those stops!

There aren't a lot of options for nightlife on St George Street. There are a few good spots after hours.
