The picture I added does not do it justice. This was a beautiful church with interesting details and architecture. It was very peaceful to sit and pray. Even if you are not a spiritual person this is a beautiful place to visit.

Open to public. Simply Beautiful. So serene and worth a visit. Small store to pick up religious medals, holy water n the like. Greatly enjoyed! A must see. Enjoy

Very beautiful - very moving experience. A little knowledge of Catholic faith practices was helpful, but not necessary. The history is the issue - the first Catholic parish in the U.S. - & how that happened. Several other churches also visited & each unique in history, design, etc., but all within close proximity of each other. We did the fort... More

The basilica is truly beautiful and peaceful experience. From its red ceilings and wooden walls, it includes golden statues of Jesus, St. Peter, and St. Augustine. Please keep in mind that Parking around the basilica is very tough. You may have to drive up and down a few streets to be able to find a spot or just go where... More

Went to Mass here and listened to a wonderful homily. Stayed to walk around the Basilica and enjoyed its beauty and could worship at peace. Quiet and restful.

The Basilica is beautiful and a lovely place to sit and meditate. Centrally located and Sunday Mass is inspirational.
