San Sebastian Winery, founded in 1996 is located at 157 King Street, St. Augustine, Florida in one of Henry Flagler’s old East Coast Railway buildings located just a few blocks from historic downtown. According to historians, this area is the birthplace of American wine, dating back to 1562. Today, San Sebastian ranks as one of Florida's premium wineries, and remains a pioneer in the development of table, sparkling and dessert wines from hybrid and muscadine grapes. Vintage-dated varietals from hybrids such as Stover and Blanc Du Bois are produced and marketed along with blended and sparkling wines from native Muscadine grapes. Port and Cream Sherry dessert wines are also produced by and sold under the San Sebastian brand. Together, these labels have won many awards for excellence in winemaking, over 300 so far with more to come each season. Every year more than 100,000 people are expected to visit the winery’s extensive tasting room and wine shop. San Sebastian Winery has an overall production of over 80,000 cases, (that’s over 960,000 bottles!). San Sebastian wines are sold at the winery and at major supermarkets and wine shops throughout Florida. “The Cellar Upstairs” Wine, Jazz & Blues Bar, open weekends, is located on the rooftop of the Winery building and is a best kept secret with locals. Open on weekends, featuring incredible live music from a wide range of talented local and regional Bands. Relax to the music and enjoy the tremendous views overlooking the St. Augustine skyline while enjoying a glass of San Sebastian Wine and light appetizers.

The wine offered was one of the best around, Found that the VINTNERS RED was out standing, Made one think it was a grape juice as a kid. Maybe this is grape juice for ADULTS, The Vintners White is a great wine also. Had to go to the roof top sit back and enjoy the view with a few glasses... More

This was my first ever winery tour and wine tasting and I learned so much about how the wine is made, the history of wine in Florida, and how to properly taste wine. Was a lot of fun and I bought plenty of bottles for gifts and myself!

What a lively time!!! Touring the winery and learning about the different wines and then tasting several is quite a experience. Off course the gift shop is really nice also. Iys a good thing that the trolley cars go there.

We visited the winery on Sunday afternoon. We were greeted by a very tired-acting young lady who told us to go to the back for the "tasting and tour". A woman had her back to us and finally turned around. I asked about the "tasting and tour" and she said there was only a "self-guided tour". She gave us two... More

We took the tour, but there really wasn't much to see, due to the season. The video was good. The wine tasting was excellent. The wines are reasonably priced and the port, in particular, is excellent. You really need to taste before buying, because of the uniqueness of the individual varieties.

I visited the winery and found a clean, beautiful location, with a great selection of articles related to wine (like shirts, glasses, home decorations, and tools for opening bottles and for closing them). There was a great free tour, along with a generous tasting that included several of the vintages produced there. They even serve apple juice to the younger (or abstaining) members of... More
