Climb the lighthouse - 92 stairs to the top and see beautiful St. George Island high atop the lighthouse. Must be at least 40" tall to climb. We also have a wonderful museum and gift shop you can visit at no charge.

Did not climb the lighthouse as the charge was $6 per person and it is a rebuilt lighthouse. Visited the gift shop and very few local crafts but they were pricy. There was also lots of made in China merchandise.

Beautiful view. Kids loved the climb to the top. Right near the beach. Lots of parking close by. Gift shop is well stocked with souvenirs and guides who know the history of the island and lighthouse.

Great displays and friendly lady in the Keeper's cottage, then for five dollars you can climb up into the lighthouse. The small ladder to gain access to the top deck may be tricky for larger less-flexible folks....just something to consider.
