This was the most secluded beach I have ever been to hands down. Rolling dunes with miles of empty beach. Shells everywhere with very nice sand!

We went during the week and there was hardly anybody there. We had a large section of the beach to ourselves. We just set their watched the waves and listen to the birds and the water.

We were only able to stay here for two nights, and did not begin to experience all the park had to offer. Beautiful beaches. Nice bath houses. Walking trails. We definitely plan to return for a longer visit. Be warned! The mosquitoes are ravenous! Even...More

We enjoyed the ride through the park and noticed some very nice picnic pavilions and beach areas. The bathrooms and showers were nice as well.

We made reservations here because St. Joseph State Park was booked. I am not that impressed with the beach. It is okay. The campgrounds are nice and the bath house is clean. The mosquitos are horrendous!! They will literally carry you off. You cannot do...More

Didn't care for the fact that to get in it cost $4.00 for 1 person, $6.00 for 2-8 people just to get in and look around. Their was an average size boat ramp and a camping area.

The large bins are at the campground, and there are recycling trash bins at the pavilions. Admission is $4 for single-occupant car, $2 for pedestrians and bicycles, $8 boat. Don't remember any fee waivers for recycling.

We went to the beach access across from the campground access road and walked as far to the tip of the island as we could walk since the tip of the island did have as much foot traffic.

Yes there are sharks, but they don't (generally) bother people.
