Lovely quiet beaches

If St Petes is too crowded for you then keep driving south to the more residential Pass a grille. Same sands but with less feet on them. A lovely part of StP.B

Walked along the beach to have breakfast here. Small open air market and live entertainment was all happening when I was there. If you are lucky enough to have a car to drive around, some beauty homes to look at.

We drove through as part of a visit to St. Pete's Beach and thought the place quite beautifu in its positioning on the beach. Lots of road work going on. Each separate parking spot is numbered and it looks like you have to plunk money into a machine to pay for parking (which we did not do as I don't... More

A new water and sewer system are being installed so there's a powerful odor and plenty of detours all up passe a grill Street. Fortunately we stayed up by 27th street but from the don Cesar for about ten blocks would not be pleasant.

Beautiful place, gorgeous sunsets. Enjoyed walking along the shore and looking for shells and wildlife.

There was some major road construction in this area on our last visit, but I love the area. There are so many cute houses and the little shops are nice. I haven't stayed in any of the hotels/motels, but there are some that look like they've updated things in the past few years. The sunset is pretty and it's easy... More

Avoid for now. They're digging up the road, and the traffic delays compete with the pungent odor of sewage for your attention. I'm sure it'll be terrific once it's complete, but for now, if you're driving south through St Pete Beach, turn around at the Don Cesar and go back. Give the local folks a break.

malbuff thanks for your review. The road and infrastructure improvements were sorely needed and we are lucky to be able to get them. Most visitors we talk to feel like the minimal disruption to traffic on the way in is worth it because paradise awaits on the other side. And our locally owned small businesses especially appreciate our visitors loyalty!... More

The beach is great, good travelers place = bathrooms and showers. Close to food and some activities. This month the road in is being torn up so it is harder to get there but even with the limited traffic it may only take a few extra minutes. Go eat at the Hurricane for lunch and then have a drink at... More

We had a relaxing week staying at the Sabal Palms on 13th ave, we had a room and deck where we could watch the sunset each evening. The place was comfortable, clean and freshly painted, we had everything we needed, great staff. So tidy they even combed the sand in the front garden and by the sidewalk each day. It's... More
