Found serenity in this place. Enough foot traffic to feel a sense of security without at all becoming overwhelmed by tourists.

What a beautiful place. Plenty of free parking with no admission. The long boardwalk takes you through the park above the swamp. Wildlife is abundant. The plant life is amazing, I could have spent the whole day here.

Fun change of pace to get a break from the awesome beaches. Saw birds, alligators, large snails, all kinds of fish, tropical plants. Take some bug spray but worth the walk

Nice boardwalk that goes around through the swampy area to the lake. Saw baby alligators, turtles, lots of birds. And the amazing part was there were no mosquitoes. We were there the first week of June and it was kind of misting out, so maybe...More

This park offers plenty of free parking! It also has real restrooms with running water (not always maintained the greatest). There are also covered picnic areas which don't require prebooking. My favorite part of the park is the miles of walking trails. Most of them...More

Spent the day here. Beautiful nature walks and plenty of great spots to stop and have a picnic. So much to see, Aligators, turtles, Snakes, birds and bugs all up close and it's completely free!

This was a great activity to do with the kids. We spent around 2 hours walking through the park and were able to see incredible sights! The entrance is a little unassuming, but that just adds to the mystique of what Florida parks have to...More

We arrived in St. Pete early (everything opens at 10 am, it seems), so we enjoyed a quiet stroll in this park, along the boardwalks. Nesting birds, lizards, turtles and several locals enjoying their morning power walk. Quiet, peaceful, well maintained....a nice park.

Will be coming in from out of town. About how long does it take to walk the boardwalk at a leisurely pace where you can enjoy the wildlife?

Taking a slow walk to see all the wildlife can take around 1 hour. It is a path that can be cut short if one is out of time. How much you see depends on day...animals and birds do not keep a schedule.

If dogs can't be on the boardwalk paths, are there other trails/ paths that make this worthwhile to come to if you are bringing a dog?
