During a recent visit we took our 3 year old boy and 6 year old daughter. They had a blast with all of the different activities! There were so many things from a grocery store, fire station, tree playhouse and so much more! The kids could go from one thing to the next. Not too busy but we went on... More

Wow, this was awesome. My kid loved it, and couldn't decide on an attraction to stay at! I got dragged into the dark touch tunnel, and it was a lot of fun. I can see why kids love it. If I had something like this as a child I would have been in heaven!!

Our 2 year old loves Great Explorations. It is a perfect place for these hot & rainy days. From the fire engine, sand area, pizza station, grocery store, etc it will keep your child/children entertained, while learning in a safe environment. We have enjoyed our membership & reciprocity with other museums.

Not bad for younger children (under 6 or 'maybe' 7). Be sure and look at other membership options. They reciprocate and their membership is reciprocated, but if you will go to other locations (like MOSI) you may be better served buying MOSI membership online quickly and using it at Great Explorations. If this is your main destination then consider it,... More

We were here on a school field trip and the museum was about what we expected it to be. There are different rooms that allow you to experience different things like working with clay, and shopping and running a supermarket. It was fun for the kids but it was a big room basically partitioned off with different areas, so the... More

This will keep your young ones interested and entertained for a while. Offers enough activities to keep the most energetic child busy. Plenty of Staff to provide a safe environment.

We went slightly weary that our 1 year old would be too young to enjoy the activities they had, but were so pleasantly surprised! They have an area geared towards 5 years and younger that we spent most of our time in, but she was able to walk around and take part in almost everything they offered! From musical instruments... My wife and I took our two daughters (2 & 8) here, while we were passing through the area. Everyone (adults too) had a BLAST. It is about $10 / person (even adults), it is well worth it. If you live in the area (we don't), you can purchase a yearly family membership, which would be well worth it. Kids... More

This is located right next to the Sunken Gardens and is great for children of all ages. i even had a great time. There are areas for all age groups. Activity, adventure, learning, and it is great that many local businesses contributed to the museum for children to learn and participate.

Great hands on experience for kids under 12. Smallish museum with lots to do is easy to keep track of small kids. Our 3 and 4 year old grandsons love Great Explorations and we can keep an eye on them most of the time! They can only last so long outside in the 92 deg heat and humidity, so the... More
