It's so unusual, to see an arboretum, just for one flora specimen - palms! In fact, there are so many of them, and they are so different in their looks. Perfect place to learn about them. The Arboretum is located in the northern part of...More

Lots of various palms. They are working on updating signage and updating surrounding landscaping. Nice place for a stroll or just to relax on a bench & take in the beauty.

A great place to walk and learn about the palm trees in our area. Located on the downtown waterfront of St. Petersburg. From there, you can visit more of the parks and famous Vinoy Hotel.

The botanist at Sunken Gardens suggested a visit to this small arboretum to see the "new home" of plants removed from a private residence of an avid plant collector, now deceased. These plants ae NOT marked as such as they are rare, and in other...More

Take your time and take your camera. Lots to see and learn. Signage is helpful. Be sure to go in the morning when it's cool.

This is a beautifully maintained small park. Paved walkways meander through the park. Palms are all identified as to species, etc. It's well worth the visit with plenty of parking and right on the waterfront.

A little oasis in the midst of the parks along the waterfront in St Pete. A great variety of palm trees; a nice easy walkway; some benches; and everything is well marked if you wanted to know the name of the tree you are enjoying....More

What a great idea to make a public garden filled with palm trees from all over the world, from Madagascar to Belize. Until you see them all together, you don't realize how different one palm is from the next. The bark, the height -- one...More

This is a lovely space on the other side of the Vinoy from the Bayfront area. 800 palm trees and something like 236 species. Brick paved trail and many trees have an identification sign. Plus it's right near the water. Parking was easy on a...More
