Always love to stop here and check things out. They always have good deals and interesting items. If you are looking for something to do and would like to do a little shopping, stop here and check it out.

This place has already been demolished. It was sold to a developer who is building apartments. Nothing much else to say.

Flea market is now closed. Scheduled for demo. Planned apartment complex. Old Sanford history- will be missed by many. Was in decline for last several years.

I visited Flea World one last time this past July of 2015. It was sad walking through the aisles and there were still a few vendors there. I said hello to some of them, got a few items for keepsakes, and wished them well. I will miss all the memories of the times my children and I went there on Sundays for many years. I cried. Good bye Flea World. You will be missed. It Should have been 'saved' as a Historical Landmark.

I had a list of free things to do in Orlando that included Flea World, the "biggest flea market in the US". Ok, so it is not exactly in Orlando, but with no other plans for the day, I decided to drive there today (a Sunday).
Unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. Although still open, there were many empty shops and the few open ones were mostly sort of similar.

I went with three other ladies to Flea World in Sanford last weekend. The place was pitiful. Most of the shops were closed and there were very few shoppers milling around. It was a huge disappointment and I would recommend that if someone were interested in going to a flea market that they try Webster or Renningers. I am sure they will find more to offer at this time of the year. There was only one fresh fruit/vegetable stand and prices were no bargain.
One of us stopped to get a beverage before we left and the diet drink was flat. The lady who sold it, returned the money which was the right thing to do.

Flea World is closing at the end of this year/beginning of 2016. And some vendors have already relocated- if you have someone you visit frequently, I would suggest seeing them to get their business card before they move. There are still some great deals to be found here and some great people that work here. That being said, we all know you don't go there for the atmosphere. haha. It's not fancy. It doesn't need to be. And if it's summer, it WILL be insanely hot and humid inside (only part is AC). The spanish food in the center though is delicious. Just make sure you always have cash for any food or drink in Flea World. Or you'll have to use the pricey ATMs throughout.

Drove 60 miles round trip to visit the largest flea market in America. Arrived 9 am and an elderly gentleman handed me a map at entrance. I drove around to market and it was empty. Closed for good the previous Sunday

We had a great time here. Two adults, a 7 year old and 17 year old and we all found all kinds of treasures!

We stopped in on a Friday morning and it was dead. A lot of the booths were empty. Maybe Saturdays and Sundays are better. Maybe February is off season for the flea market. We ended up with a pair of socks and a Florida magnet. Since we made our way out there from Orlando we decided to explore downtown Sanford and go some place nice for lunch. A local told me that the flea market in Daytona was better.
