We were expecting more from a National Refuge. We love the NPS and are nation park pass yearly members and love our national parks. We did save $5.00 since we had our park pass with us. We were looking for some places to pull over and view nature. Instead every pull off had a group of people fishing that took... More

We decided to walk through the refuge, or at least some of it. 4 miles worth. The place is awesome. All natural environment for the animals. We really didn't get to see much except an alligator and birds. Suggestion for the place- sell water somewhere or advise people on your site that you do not provide water unless you bring... More

This is a great place to go and see all the wildlife. We saw a large flock of pink spoonbills and many other birds. Must visit the Bubble Room for lunch if you go. Unique place to go.

I didn't see much other than birds & fish that jump out of the water. If I were to go back I would take the tram & have the guide...to get additional information & learn more. The technology offered is nice but drains your phone & data fast. Really wanted to see an alligator or snake, no luck.

This was a quick stop. I didn't see very many animals other than wild birds. The water is pretty but it just wasn't as big of a deal as I thought it would be. We drove our car and I'm glad that we did so that we could make it a quick place to visit.

Our guide "Dick" was very good and informative. He took time to explain things in the park and answer questions from anyone on the tour. Very interesting to see the plants and wild life in the park. Saw a lot of birds. Would have been great if we would have seen other animals but I don't guess there are a... More

Wonderful slow drive, bike, or walk through this wildlife refuge. Enjoy the jumping mullets, needle nose gars, turtles, horseshoe, tree, and fiddler crabs, black racer snakes, sea otters, and variety of birds. That's what we saw. We didn't have time to see the exhibits in the center, but they looked wonderful as well.

A treasure! We took the 3 hr. kayak tour through park and loved it. A birder's paradise, with eagles, osprey, roseate spoonbills, egrets, herons, anhingas and more. Staff is gracious, helpful and experienced. The museum and gift shop contain a wealth of natural history and resources. For a low fee you can drive at your leisure and stop along the... More
