Splendid stretch of sand and shells. The walk to the beach is easy and level. Not crowded at all. Found many nice shells.

Like most beach parks in FL. The beach is decent, but then I am used to Sarasota sand. Need I say more? It was a lot quieter and much less hustle, mostly vacant after the rain. so pretty much had it to ourselves. yippee!

This beach was recommended to us since we were bringing our 2 dogs to Sanibel with us. Typically, we head to Bowman's Beach but we were pleasantly surprised by this one! It is $4/hour to park. There are well-kept restrooms and showers and the trails to the beach were nice enough that we left our shoes back at the car.... More

I really love this beach! Parking is close to beach and bathroom facilities with an outside shower. They have shaded picnic areas with BBQ grills and one is covered. Shells are more plentiful at low tides. It costs 4 dollars an hour to park but totally worth it. If you are a Florida resident and visit often you it may... More

OK, with all the shells looking the same around the island, I really think that this might be the best beach on the island. There are so many families here and the shells were truly unique and lovely. Dolphins dancing in the waters and we were told they have gopher turtles. Did not see any but we will be back... More

We had just a short 2 hours visit here, but we had such a great time shelling and swimming. The beach is great and has a good parking and restrooms.

The beach is on the southend of Sanibel Island and offers plenty of swimming and shell hunting during low tide. A new bathhouse facility has been built this past year. Very nice addition for public convenience.

Like about all the beachs in sanibel its a nice place to visit but can be busy at the wrong time, and require a city parking permit, but worth the visit

We have visited numerous beaches in FL. This is 2rd tier beach at best. Nothing too bad just not as good as so many wonderful beaches in FL. First, it costs $6 to cross a bridge to reach. Then pay $4 per hour to park; Second, very limited parking. You may have to wait 20-30 for an open spot under... More

If you can, try to visit Gulfside (also known as Algiers Beach) on an early morning low tide, because that way you will see all sorts of very interesting live sea creatures. I recommend you walk to the left after leaving the parking lot and crossing over onto the beach itself. Walk about half a mile along the beach to... More
