Overview
More
An Old Florida attraction since 1939, Sarasota Jungle Gardens allows visitors to experience things you won't find anywhere else. Feed free-roaming flamingos, watch parrots ride bicycles, catch lemurs at play, stare down a vulture, or pet a skunk. Be sure to visit the Flamingo Cafe for a refreshing lunch or snack. Enjoy one or more of our acclaimed animal shows. Annual events include Holiday Lights, select nights in December, and Jungle Trails and Bunny Tails, every year on Good Friday.

We were a large group that set-up ticketing in advance. Our party had guests ranging in age 3 to age 75 (in a wheelchair). All the kids had fun (yes, even the teenagers - for a while). And the park is easily accessible by wheelchair....More

This attraction was much smaller than expected. OK for kids, but the animals are in small cages, so not so good for them.More

Hi Adder_65, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We are definitely a smaller attraction if you compare us to some of the big parks in the Orlando area. We have been open to the public since the late 1939. Animal care and...More

We went on a day where we invested almost $60 to receive very little in return. Yes, they had a lot of birds on perches to see, but couldn't interact with them until after 1:00 pm (the hottest part of the day), sleeping animals prevented...More

Hi Sheri, We believe you are the guest that sent an email on July 10th. Again, we are sorry you did not enjoy your visit. Normally the Flamingos have pretty big appetites so we are not sure why they weren’t interested in feeding. Regarding the...More

We've been there many times and still love it. From crocs to exotic birds to a feeding pen to (our favorite) feeding the flamingos!

You can feed the pink flamingos and other birds roaming there. No, they won't bite your fingers, it's not their first rodeo. Others such as parrots, alligators, lemurs and snakes. You roam a couple trails and see them all and they have a couple live...More

The kids liked this place. It's almost like a small zoo. They have parrots, turtles, lemurs, reptiles, and flamingos to name a few. You can buy special food to feed the free-roaming flamingos by hand. The admission fee was steep in my opinion.
