An Old Florida attraction since 1939, Sarasota Jungle Gardens allows visitors to experience things you won't find anywhere else. Feed free-roaming flamingos, watch parrots ride bicycles, catch lemurs at play, stare down a vulture, or pet a skunk. Be sure to visit the Flamingo Cafe for a refreshing lunch or snack. Enjoy one or more of our acclaimed animal shows. Annual events include Holiday Lights, select nights in December, and Jungle Trails and Bunny Tails, every year on Good Friday.

If you love nature and exotic critters, you will love Jungle Gardens. Beautiful birds! McCaws and cockatoos are amazing! You will want to check their schedule for their show times - the bird show alone is worth the price of admission.

Sophie, We are really sorry to hear the flamingos would not eat for you when you visited. Normally they have pretty big appetites. We will pass along you comments about the staff and suggestions to the management. Thanks.

The kids loved feeding the flamingos! Loved seeing the gators up close and the beautiful tropical birds. FYI, this is not a "touristy thing/zoo/aquarium" to do, these are rescued critters. Still a fun thing to do with the kids and hands on. But, don't go...More
