We went intending to spend a couple of hours looking around and especially to see the Manatees, 4 hours later and it was closing time and we still had not seen the birds. Bearing in mind this is a working scientific facility and not pure...More

The Mote is perfect for kids as well as adults. Watching the manatees through the glass as they eat their lettuce is amazing. Giant gentle creatures for sure! I was not impressed with the dolphins as I expected there would be more excitement there but...More

We've been going to the Mote Aquarium every year for the last 12. Always something new to discover. And it's worth taking the kayaking through the mangroves excursion or even the boat tour of the bay. Lots of fun!

This is a working scientific facility open to the public with a focus on rehabilitating wildlife. There is a small aquarium and several animals who are in the midst of recovery. Informative and interactive Mote Marine deserves any and all additional donations you can give....More

Mote is a good combo between a real research center and something for tourists to enjoy. Don't expect a polished Disney-like experience - it's more like an interesting view of a real research center with enough 'fun' stuff that kids should be entertained! Incredible Location...More

Lots to see here. Split over two sites it offers a chance to see lots of sea creatures and animals. There are touch tanks where you can touch sting rays, sharks and crabs. Good fun.

We highly recommend a visit to the Mote marine laboratory & aquarium and also to give yourself time for the two hour eco-boat tour. Great for all ages. The up close and educational viewing at the aquarium are detailed through other comments. The volunteers that...More

I reviewed this attraction 3 years ago. This attraction is spread over two buildings. The one contain the aquarium with a variety of fish, sharks, and stingrays. They still are remodeling and expanding. The second building contains a sea turtle display, manatees, alligators, river otters,...More

$18.00 per person but well worth it. By car ,leave St Armands Circle and head for Longboat Key . Just prior to going over the causeway take a right and the Aquarium is on your right. It is well sign posted.
