Internationally famous aquarium and research lab!

Go see the marine life and the folks who care for them. So many exhibits and a quick bike ride away if you are staying on the island. Support what they do!

Excellent way to spend rainy day. Children loved the hands on experiences at the aquarium and watching the baby sea turtles being treated. Would recommend.

We brought our 2 year old son, who loves sea creatures, one rainy afternoon. Because it was after 3 we found out our tickets were valid the next day as well. This worked out perfectly because we did the sea turtles/manatees/otters building one day and the main aquarium the next. Our son absolutely loved it and can't stop talking about... More

This is a must do attraction when in Saratosa. Our 9 and 6 year old boys were captivated by the turtles, otters, rays and sharks. What was particularly special were the Volunteers on-hand to explain the animals to the kids so they have learnt so much about the sea life in the oceans off Florida. We enjoyed the hands on... I love the atmosphere, and it's very family friendly. Plus, if you're a part of their Zoo membership, you get to go to lots of different Zoos across the continental United States at a discounted price.

Absolutely loved it. Got to see the Otters in training. You can take your time and enjoy all the sea life. We even got to see the giant squid. So going again.

The Mote Marine Lab and Aquarium is a favorite here in he Sarasota area. From sharks to dolphins you will find interesting specimens of Florida sea life here. Don't forget to visit Hugh and Buffet two very large manatees, at the aquarium. There is also a cafe, on site, and a nice gift shop for your souvenirs.
