My baby sister is here!

My sister has been gone for five years now. Every visit there the site is clean, well maintained and the onsite staff is extremely helpful. It is so peaceful there.

We have sadly had to attend two internment ceremonies here this year. The religious person is the choice of the family.

We attended our Marine friend's funeral here and were overwhelmed by the beauty and majesty of this national cemetary. Worth a visit any time you are seeking peace and contemplation in a beautiful natural surrounding

Lots of people come to Sarasota for the beaches, golf and amazing cultural opportunities. They are all wonderful, but if you miss Patriot Plaza at the Sarasota National Cemetery - you've really missed an amazing site. Give yourself plenty of time to review each piece of art and to reflect. Appropriate for all ages.

This cemetery is a wonderful tribute to all our fallen heroes. It is quite large and getting larger every day. At certain times they have wonderful ceremonies both religious and secular to celebrate different holidays and events.

Our father law was interned here. The Navy Crew did an outstanding job. We were very grateful. Could use a few more trees.

The Sarasota National Cemetary is a must see when in the Sarasota area. Located just a few short miles east of the interstate it is a large veterans cemetary with an outstanding Patriots Plaza band shell type structure that tells the story of service men and womens sacrifice and military service time. If possible plan to visit at ten o'clock... More

I was in Sarasota for a few hours and I decided to drop by the cemetery, not knowing what to expect. As I drove in, there was a volunteer who asked if I needed help and gave me a tip as to where to go. He recommended the Patriots' Plaza. The amphitheater is big, with a seating capacity of over... A gorgeous but sobering cemetery to allow families of veterans and the public to come and honor those that served our country in the military. I once went to a Veteran's Day ceremony here and it was the most meaningful thing I've ever done on Veteran's Day.

To know what we have gone through as a nation to provide our freedom is to appreciate what these solemn areas mean. Always try to stop when we know one is around and honor our service men and women.
