Beautiful trees & grounds

Enjoyed our walk through the grounds although we saw no monkeys, only monkey poop. The glass bottom boats were $35 per person. Seemed a little high priced. Would be more fun to... read more

This park was deserted when we visited. I think with all the Disney attractions available, people don't make time for this vintage site. Evidently it was "THE" place to visit in the early 1900's! Some t.v. shows/movies were filmed here, too, like Sea Hunt and a James Bond movie. But the glass bottom boat is not that scenic, and the... More

We went on the glass bottom boat and loved every minute of it. The river is so beautiful and we was many birds, fish and alligators. The boat captain was very knowledgeable and the views from the glass bottom were incredible.....so clear with fish and plant life.

My husband and I rented kayaks from Ryan at Discovery Kayak Rentals. Excellent kayaks with comfy seats. The weather couldn't have been more beautiful. If your interest is being outdoors surrounded by tons of wildlife, crystal clear waters with gentle currents, this trip is for you. We saw lots of turtles, birds and alligators. We didn't see any monkeys today... More

Took the glass Bottom boat tour and had a blast. Can't believe it exists right in the middle of Florida! Water was so clear you would think you were in the tropics!

And have a great picnic on April 17th, 2017 in the nice grounds and trying to recreate the zoo in our memories from years ago. We spotted some small gators and lots of turtles and fish. Drove over from Daytona Beach in an hour and twenty minutes. It's the best deal and such a well kept secret.

This is our annual 4th of July family adventure. LOVE IT! Water is cold, but usually it is so warm that it feels great. We do it every year.....can't wait

Just outside of Ocala and just over an hour from Daytona, Silver Springs was a pleasant surprise. I thought it would be rather lame since I never heard of it before and I'm a native Floridian; but, I was really impressed. I had a great time with my 2 year old daughter and best friend along with her 4 year... More

We stopped by Silver Springs State Park after a family vacation in Disney World. What a juxtaposition between manmade wonders and natural beauty. We had visited over forty years ago and were pleased to see that much of the original beauty and somewhat hokey boat tours hadn't changed much. They have restored more of the natural area, but Iw as... More
