A nice decent size garden, but really in need of some attention. The drought in the area hasn't helped its potential. Okay to go to if you are in the area, but it might be disappointing to drive there from afar.

It is opened from 9 am to 12 noon. Small, but quiet and a little secluded from main traffic. It is free, but you can donate cash for the upkeep. It's great for a quiet place that is close by; off of Spring Hill Dr. close to route 19.

This is a great place to wander and see all sorts of plants. The garden is a group of mini-gardens kept by volunteers. Each has a theme such as butterflies, cactus garden, etc. It's open to the public most daylight hours. Squirrels, birds, and butterflies make their home in the hundreds of lush plants here. The Nature Coast Botanical Garden seems to be run as a collective with volunteer staff. The garden and paths are generally well tended and people working there are enthusiastic about the place and generally happy to answer questions about the plants and how to grow things in the area (important for people who have transplanted from the north). This garden was quite the surprise find. In the heart of the city of Spring Hill lies this little gem run by volunteers. We walked through the well-kept garden for over an hour. I here that this was a vacant lot a time ago and locals brought there extra plants there and it really got big enough to be a beautiful garden . Well it is a fine place for a nice walk , great butterfly place . Guess what you can bring your dog!!!! Yaaaa! Also they have nice plant sales.

Butterfly plants were available, pretty and bountiful. This botanical gardens was very pretty and educational, and serene.
