Animals and Rides both in abundance
Its an Animal park with rides or a Coaster park with Animals. It all depends on what you want. We enjoyed Cobra's Curse, Stanley Falls Flume, Sand Serpent, Serengeti Express and Congo River Rapids. But the Animals were our favorite. We enjoyed Rescue Tails and the various animal displays. Our best experience was the Serengeti Safari. It is an extra cost but was well worth it.

    Great visit!!
We went in Spring 2023 with small kids and had a wonderful visit. Kids were really excited about the good selection of rides for their age group. They also enjoyed seeing all the exotic animals. As an adult, I was impressed with all the new displays and how clean and well maintained the park was. We will be back!

    Room for improvement
We recently visited Busch Gardens for the first time and we were very impressed by the rides and how quiet it was. The main thing to let them down is charging us to use the lockers in order to ride a ride, same as Aquatica and Seaworld. This shouldn't be acceptable, if you don't allow bags on rides then a free use of the locker to ride should be an option. They just want to make more money. Charging $30 to park is also crazy! We had the all day dine which was so not worth it and when we did get lunch the staff were soooo slow. There weren't many people in the queue but getting out food took over 30 minutes, staff were just standing there doing nothing. Everyone looked unhappy. Rides were excellent though, especially for the thrill lovers. Not sure if I'd rush back there though until they improve
Thank you for taking the time to reach out about this recent visit to our park us as comments from our guest's is an incredibly valuable tool which we do not take for granted. We can assure you that we have shared your feedback to the appropriate leadership teams for their internal review and improvement. -HM

    Great fun!
Came in on a weekday, no long waits for rides or food. You can spend hours here just walking around. Lots of different tours to go on too! We chose the safari tour - was great fun, got to feed the giraffes too! The unlimited eat and drink pass is for every 90minutes which was more than enough for me. Food was average but expected.

    Short wait time on rides
I visited the park on a Friday. Most rides only had a 5 min wait. The park got busy after 4pm with a wait around 10 minutes. I loved all the rollercoasters. Iron Gwazi was by far my favorite ride (and scariest). Annoyed that you have to rent a locker for $10 day. Most parks in the UK have bag storage on the ride platform. There are lockers located near each ride but you need to remember your code each time you move your locker location to another area of the park. It was a hot and humid day but there are large fans located around the park and usually a fan as you queue for the ride. There is free water availabe at most restroom locations. I thought my day ticket was good value and would return on a weekday as the queues were so short.

Great park, great value, just not sure of their commitment to actually operating a 21st century park.
Very impressive with minor annoyances. First a great park, but if you're looking for the worldwide entertainment giant this is not it. What you get is a reasonably sized park, at a reasonable price with great rides, educational wild life information. And the nicest and helpful stuff we've met at theme parks (except one. More later on that). So the staff is absolutely great, friendly, helpful and there when you need them. Two trips this time and great rides, great experiences but for the one downside. I admit it's bugging me. In the Sesame Street Safari a woman was smoking in line with the kids. I asked her, she refused in verbose a personally insulting language. When I told the ride operator, he said there was nothing he could do.

    Good experience
We Love Busch Gardens! My family and I travel to Busch Gardens twice a year. My kids love all the roller coasters. The food could use some improvement but we always have a great time and they keep the grounds clean for the most part.

    Great day out
Visited on a weekday, got there early and managed to get on all the big rides within the first hour or so (don’t recommend!!). So we then were able to wander and see all the animal enclosures and had lunch before rides again! Have seen some negative reviews which was a worry but we had a great day out! Slightly annoying to have to pay so much for parking and also lockers.

    Lions, Tigers and Exceptional Staff
Perfect weather, we did several "close up" experiences and were impressed with the knowledge level and presentation skills of the staff. Everyone was very nice to us but we were particularly impressed with Jomary at the Serengeti Safari. We asked about one of the past giraffes (Dolley) and she gave us a real education about the animals. Went out of her way to find some information for us, but most importantly, was kind to my wife. Without people like this, you have no business. Looking forward to returning.

A Good Park, But a bit of a drive to get there
I got the tickets for this attraction as part of my Discovery Cove Package It is worth noting that the attraction is cashless. With this, I offer a warning.. If you are spending cash from a purse or wallet, you know what you have spent throughout the day. The attraction charges for lockers, and all sorts of little add ons to make its money There were a number of rides out of service during the time of the visit. Some good rides for the adrenalin junky

I love Busch gardens but feel very disappointed in my visit today.

The coasters are awesome that’s a given but the boarding And in boarding processes are very slow and a bit of a free for all

Despite waiting times of sometimes 90 minutes many seats unfilled on rides and no single rider queue. It’s a way to get you to buy fast passes. We did as it was just so hot. Not sure of value for money but they did help although barely checked.

We also bought the refill cups which are sold all over the park but sadly most of the soda stations had no juice in them for much of the day. Also no one seemed to be checking anyway so you could have filled your boots for free if there had been any soda in first place.. this was the case from 11.30am and not particularly resolved.

Park could be outstanding with better management as they do have fabulous coasters but intimately not worth a 2nd visit from our Orlando base for that reason

Some queues merged in to express and regular with no one monitoring so again a bit crazy

Potential to be amazing but service lets it down badly

Why no single rider option

That itself would really improve any rating

We visited on Juneteenth 2024. This was a very disappointing day at Busch Gardens Tampa. The website does not accurately display wait times. Once it Said 15 minutes on website for Sheikra, and when we got to the ride 5 minutes later the line was 45 minutes. There were multiple breakdowns of rides. Twice we got in line just to have the ride break after we got in line. Kumba and Iron Gwazi. We were going to ride Tigras but it was also broke. Once we waited 40 minutes in line then they said the PA system broke for the ride ( Iron Gwazi.) So they shut the entire ride down. There are very few vegan options for food. App said cheetas curse was down but saw it running while the app still said that it was down. Even though we love roller coasters. I am not sure if we would make the trip from Orlando again. There were just too many things broken and long lines for those that were running. We were afraid to get in long lines just to have the ride break on us. Montu was also down all day. The animals and train ride were nice.
Themeing is lacking compared to Disney or Universal. The food was not very good and the prices for food are sometimes worse than Disney, 9 for a cupcake compared to Disney 6-7. The pickle was 6.79 compared to $2.00 at Disney. The ice cream treat was over $8 as compared to 6.79 or a Mickey bar. A staff member told me I would not need the receipt or proof of purchase for refillable cup then was asked for the receipt later. The cups do have individual barcodes so I assumed the staff member was correct. They do have a refillable cup which Disney does not except for the water parks and resort hotels.

Only got on 1 ride all day. Every time queued for nearly an hour for the ride to break down. Not offered any skip Lane pass to return. Due to this we ended up only 1 ride all day as every ride constantly broke down that we queued and attempted to go on. Which is a shame as the rides look great. Would not return. Also employees in smokehouse very ride and had run out of most stuff at 17:30 (Park open till 9pm) However the staff member in chick fil A at lunch was very pleasant.

Over 1 hour lines with multiple ride shut downs once you get close. Multiple rides closed. Park seems to only have half of each of their rides running. Dining staff rude enough to not even return a hello or thank you. If you do t buy their skip the line pass expect to get about 5 rides in all day, and that was on a Wednesday. Lines so stagnant people just sit down. Waste of time and money and I don’t think I’ll ever trust going into another amusement park. It’s use staff, dirty environment, and rides that trap you near the end with a shut down. Busch gardens was way better 10 years ago. I’ll never come back here, even if it only cost $5.

First time visiting here since it was sold by Anheuser-Busch. Whoever manages the park now just destroyed the grounds. Over run by weeds, palm trees look like it hasn’t been pruned since it was purchased. Looks like they shut down the irrigation system and most plants are struggling to live. God knows if they are taking care of the animals. Kinda looks like a home rental company took over the park. All the fountain machines are broke. Older rides look like they haven’t seen a fresh coat of paint in years. InBev needs to buy the park back if they want to save their AB marketing and fix it . Don’t waste your time at this joke. They are clearly here for profit not what the park is all about.

Didn’t get to do much - place is overrun by self-entitled thugs that constantly cut in line. There’s signs all over about cutting in line, but the non-present security apparently doesn’t care or is too scared to do anything. Had a bunch cut in front of us and when we asked this woman what she was doing, she said “I’m going to my husband - what the f——- ?!” Her husband then started yelling “You got a problem ? You messing with the wrong one !” He then called us the N-word and yelled “You don’t want none !” Dang shame hard-working people can’t go somewhere and enjoy themselves without having to deal with crap like this. We left before getting to do several things we wanted to do and will NEVER go back !! No wonder, according to one of their employees, business has dropped off. Plus, nowhere in the park accepts cash, so ended up standing in a very slow line twice so I could pay with a card for 2 drinks. And admission to the SkyRide (gondolas) isn’t included with your ticket price. $5.00 extra - why ?! Save your money - unless you’re also a self-entitled thug - you might enjoy it !!

Huge rip off. Parking was $39. Waited in line for over an hour for rides, only to have them shut down for technical difficulties. Had to use a locker for my purse, which was $10 with a 2 hour window. So if you stand in line for over an hour each ride, you will be charged for overtime on the locker. Food was outrageously priced. At 2:30 it rained and closed the park down for the rest of the day. $310 for two people plus parking and ultimately only rode 2 rides and had lunch. Done with theme parks.

We like Seaworld better. Seaworld is just in a nicer area of town. They have better shows and things to do than Busch Gardens has. I can't do roller-coaster because I get motion sickness really bad. Busch Gardens Tampa is located in area of Tampa that just doesn't feel safe.

They have great coasters for those looking for thrill rides.

We did have fun though. We got there before it opened and left around 1:00pm. We were able to watch the fireworks from our hotel room.

The reviews I read prior to going we're not great for this place. I rely heavily on these reviews and may have 2nd guessed going but had already bought tickets.
My wife loves roller coasters and was sooo excited about going. I found a good deal online including the meal plan. We arrived on a Wednesday morning about 20 minutes before they opened. General Parking was 32 but u can pay to park closer, no need imo because the tram is right there and takes you to the front door for free.
Waited with a few hundred people for 20 minutes and were through the gate quickly. If you have a bag they will check it. Got through and headed straight for the Cheetah coaster. She was on in about 5 minutes and loved it. She rode all coaster in the park and didn't wait for more than 10 minutes on one of them.
We ate 2 dinners one at the Dragonfire grill and it was fantastic. At 1230 a group came out and sang and danced to some retro music, was cool.
Park staff was over the top polite and friendly. Park was clean and we had a blast.
Some tips, they have a cell phone charge station but you have to bring your own chord. They have a fuel cell charger you can buy but it's 35$. Also no maps and signage is terrible so figuring out where your going is frustrating. You can download the app but it's still confusing especially since my phone died because I didn't have a chord ro charge it lol.
We noticed about 1pm things got busier and the 5 minute waits were 55 minute waits so earlier may be better.
Overall a great fun day, we loved the animals and rides and would probably go back if in the area again.
