Around Christmas time, my boyfriend and I took our first trip to Tampa. I kept hearing everyone talk about Ybor City and I really wanted to go. The closer we got the worse the area looked - lots of vagrants. He decided that we should pass it up on that trip. This past week I was able to go back... More

I had the opportunity, along with my cousin, to take the Ybor City Food and History Tour. We had a very nice tour guide named Raymond. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Ybor City, which is part of Tampa, and enjoyed talking about all the wonderful places to eat in the city. The traditional Cuban sandwich was so... Ybor is ok. Plenty of local eateries and music places. It caters to a pretty diverse crowd unlike most of Tampa. All in all it's is a a good place for visitors to check the history of the area.

Went to The Acropolis for happy hour and a late lunch. Good food, ate outside as the weather was awesome and there was a festival going on with lots of people watching. Great afternoon.

Night life is off the chain with various bars that offer live entertainment. The comedy club is nearby along with museums, galleries and a College. Check out the new Ybor City, it is... More

Been going there since 1980 when I moved to Tampa. Still take a stroll there once in awhile, and always take visitors there. Not the greatest restaurants but a few good ones. Always go to La Tropicana for Cuban toast and coffee, sometimes go to La Creparia for pretty good crepes although not cheap. Columbia a treat but mediocre food.... More

Excellent historic place to visit, especially for a snowbird tourist. The visitor center is a good place to start.

If you have a few hours to spare, this historical town is fun to walk through, watch cigars being made, sit and have a drink outside and just enjoy being in a unique area. We spent the afternoon there.

Amazing architecture that takes you back in time. Wonderful restaurants and quick food vendors with reasonable prices. Plenty of parking in a nearby garage.

Lots of Italian restaurants, especially pizzarias are plentiful. The nightlife has turned a bit tacky. And please try to attract more that the crystal meth users.
