While sitting in a coffee shop we loved reading about the history of Ybor. The setting is historical and charming. I loved the chickens!

Ybor City was founded in 1885 and consisted mostly of immigrant Cuban workers back then. Sure it's a "historic area" but today Ybor City is a complete dump. I do not recommend this area at all. The beauty of Tampa is in its geographical location...More

Don't miss Ybor City when you are in tge Tampa Bay area. It oozes with history as the original cigar city in America. There are great tours to take to learn the actual making of Ybor. Tampa Bay Brewery and Carnes Steak House are my...More

This was a disappointment to me because I had been there many years ago and it was a vibrant and hopping place. The afternoon we were there, we enjoyed our time in the visitors' center with the delightful hostess, who filled us in on quite...More

Interesting area to spend a few hours. Definitely on the must see list for a relaxed day spent having a few drinks and snacks while browsing the area. Lots of culture and a nice break from the city hustle!

Ended up here for a unplanned dinner and just saw a small pice of the area which lead to an idea to try to return again.

I enjoyed seeing and reading about the renovations. The buildings were amazing! My husband enjoyed a straight edge razor shave, we both enjoyed Cuban coffee, and we purchased cigars to bring home.

This is not somewhere I plan to visit again, found it very disappointing and grungy. Perhaps might be better for those who enjoy nightlife.

Got on the trolley at the first stop downtown and rode it all the way to the other end of the line at Ybor City. Knew nothing of Ybor but learned why there are wild chickens running around and lots of fun eateries. Take a...More

I have seen dogs on leashes but I would call the Florida Convention Center or Pirate Bay River Taxi. Someone there will be able to better assist you on rules and regulations. It's beautiful, enjoy!
