Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo features more than 1,300 amazing animals on 56 acres of natural habitats. Guests will find many interactive exhibits and opportunities to get closer to wildlife -- feed a giraffe, hold a lorikeet, touch a stingray and more. The Zoo's Manatee and Aquatic Center expands the traditional boundaries of a zoo, focusing efforts on critical care for injured, sick and orphaned wild manatees. Also at the zoo: splash ground water play areas, wild rides, educational shows and cafes.

The web site advertises "Interact" well that is left for interpretation: You can touch and feed the stingrays, we never saw any Lorikeets or anyplace to purchase nectar to feed them. walking with the Wallabies is basically walking on a path and the Wallabies are NOT to be touched. They basically are in there area and don't come near you.... More

We had an enjoyable day at the zoo. We had a group of seven and everyone had a nice time! There were many animals to observe and enjoy. The park is clean but could use a little sprucing up. Some things were closed for refurbishment. My only real complaint is that they don't want you bringing food into the park.... More

Our family of 5 loved this zoo while we were vacationing in Tampa. It's truly a wonderful experience. A lot of animals to see, and great time to have by all. The zoo was well laid out, easy-going paths and thoroughfares to walk through this well-maintained park. We loved that some of the exhibited animals were very engaging (and photogenic).... More

Friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff and docents. Vendors are very courteous and can answer questions about locations of animals. Very reasonable prices in the gift shop.

We went to the Lowry Tampa Zoo on Monday, February 13th! Which was the perfect time to go, some of the rides and attractions were closed, assuming it was off season/early in the week. But my nephew is only 1 year old, so that wasn't a big deal! They had a small water park with sprinklers and other water things... More

Are you ever to old for a trip to the zoo? We decided to take a trip to the zoo while we caught up with each other. It's was a great idea. We got plenty of exercise, it has sun and shade, plenty of benches to sit and chat, and a great variety of animals to watch. There were water... More

Haven't been to the zoo for ages, but loved it. Took my 4 month old baby that loved seeing the animals. Next time I go I will book my tickets in advance as was busy and had to queue to get tickets. Parking is free but very limit, many people park across the road in the park. You can pay... More

This Zoo is the best I've visited with friends as well as grandchildren of all ages. Wonderfully landscaped, people friendly, and, most of all, designed for the health and care for its inhabitants.

We have been to many zoos during our travels...Many famous zoos as well...This one has to be one of the best I've ever seen, no joke. The layout is amazing, the amount of things to see and do is insane, the animals were all healthy and happy, there are great places to rest and eat. Fantastic
