Calm way to spend part of the day.

Calm on the inside. Which is amazing considering it is grade school field day. Teachers are so keeping it together. Nice art. Good vide.

We have finally visited the Museum of Art in Tampa. The setting is perfect right on the river. The architecture is outstanding. Love the modern design!!! I was surprised that the museum was actually small. I was expecting something really large. Not a minus, though. The exhibits were very interesting. My favorite was the Cuban artists. What a fascinating glimpse... More

We discovered it because it was close to our hotel and were extremely fascinated by the exposition of Cuban Art which was showing. The building is beautiful and it shows ancient roman/ greek art and modern art...nothing in between. the building inside is elegant and not too big...all on the 2nd floor. I loved it

Stayed at the Le Meridien in the area and found out you get free entry to the museum with your room key. Thought I was going to stay there for a couple of hours but ended up only walking around for maybe an hour. Neat things to see if you're into art but don't make a day out of it.... More

Went there with my 9 yo daughter and spend about 1 hour exploring it. The building is very interesting in design. In addition to the numerous exhibits inside (Greek, Roman, American), including a mummy's sarcophagus, there are a number of incredible sculptures outdoors to see and take a photo with. Admission was free when staying at the nearby Sheraton Riverwalk.

Fabulous attention to service, taste and presentation. Tampa Museum of Art has by far the highest level of functioning of any museum's programs local to central Florida. Join. Membership is worth it, not to mention all the reciprocal benefits for those who travel!

We have mixed emotions about the Tampa Museum of Art. It's a wonderful building on a great site. As we like Etruscan & Greek pottery, we found that gallery fascinating. However, there really isn't much here....Peter Max......I always think of London when I think of him.....seems strange in Tampa. Collection really really needs building up.....

Beautiful new building. However except for the 2 special exhibits, the only other pieces were a nice collection of ceramic/clay items from early centuries. This is a start for Tampa but I am hoping they will expand their collections.

There were literally no exibitions open and we paid like 40$ for nothing so its not worth and a waste of money

This museum is in a cool building right on the river walk in Tampa. The building is very spacious and attractive when you walk in, with great views and a little cafe. The exhibits are all on the second floor. However, there is barely anything up there, no depth to the exhibits except for the Peter Max area, and very... More
