We visited the Tampa Museum of Art for our daughter's art presentation. This is a nice place to visit, an educational activity for the entire family. It's small, lack major collections, but a nice start. We need to support it for future generations.

Tampa Museum of Art is a in a great spot, but is not a very large space. Rotating exhibitions take up a lot of the space, meaning there isn't a very large permanent collection. Snooty gift shop people.

After having been to big city art museums in NYC, Toronto, San Francisco, Chicago, etc. this is very underwhelming.

I go to a lot of museums. I took a sandwich with me in preparation to spend the day. I was probably in and out of there in 30 mins maybe less. I don't usually speed through museums. I take my time, read, and get into it. All the art is upstairs, the stairwell leading up really made me think... More

Terrific regular collection of ancient artifacts. The folk art exhibit and Cuban artist exhibit were both well done. The museum offers a lot and should be included on a trip to Tampa.

Calm on the inside. Which is amazing considering it is grade school field day. Teachers are so keeping it together. Nice art. Good vide.

We have finally visited the Museum of Art in Tampa. The setting is perfect right on the river. The architecture is outstanding. Love the modern design!!! I was surprised that the museum was actually small. I was expecting something really large. Not a minus, though. The exhibits were very interesting. My favorite was the Cuban artists. What a fascinating glimpse... More

We discovered it because it was close to our hotel and were extremely fascinated by the exposition of Cuban Art which was showing. The building is beautiful and it shows ancient roman/ greek art and modern art...nothing in between. the building inside is elegant and not too big...all on the 2nd floor. I loved it

Stayed at the Le Meridien in the area and found out you get free entry to the museum with your room key. Thought I was going to stay there for a couple of hours but ended up only walking around for maybe an hour. Neat things to see if you're into art but don't make a day out of it.... More
