Great place to take your boat and go fishing or just cruising around. It is quiet and take a picnic lunch or grab one of the restaurants off of the water. Peaceful and relaxation and seeing Tampa Bay.

It's always terrific to get out in nature. All kinds of birds, turtles, insects and even some gators. Definitely worth exploring.

The last time I went down this river in a kayak with my husband, it must have been alligator nesting season. There was a bull alligator on the bank and it roared and we high-tailed it out of there. But along the way, we also saw roseate spoonbills, herons and beautiful fish. It's a lovely thing to see. But go... More

Beautiful watching the sun coming up /or down. Watching mother nature and all the beautiful creatures Hillsborough River has to offer from mother nature! You could go fishing, canoeing, boating, snorkeling, swimming be careful of alligators, snakes, must always respect mother nature they are WILD animals and some are in danger. Also wonderful Floridians humble of protective of the nature,... More

Love it or leave it. It s a great place especially for people who desire calm and nice landscape. For me it is a suitable place for meditation.

When we traveled the Hillsbourough River in a friends float boat recently, it was one of the most tranquil and enjoyable evenings we have spent in a long time. The river goes thru downtown and there must be reasons why no one has built a dock or two to offer more recreational alternatives. It may also be that the river... More

We took a ride from ricks on the river for the sunset view over the bsy. The most calm beautiful night. Best way to see the city with bridges lit after dark.

One of my favorite parks in Hillsborough County. The trails are clean and well-maintained. We even saw alligators and several types of birds while walking along the river. I would recommend the winter and early spring, late fall for the best time.As a native Floridian, I try to avoid the park in the summer months. Take insect spray especially in... More

My wife and I took our inflatable tandem kayak down the Hillsborough River. We put in with Canoe Escape at Sargeant Park (they were very helpful.) There is a small fee to park your car in the Park. We pulled out at Morris Bridge Park where Canoe Escapes picked us up and returned us to our car. Great Day! There... More
