This park doesnt charge a fee to get it, it is a huge part to walk around, play soccer, run and have fun. Very family friendly location in the heart of Tampa

Enjoyed this park for a morning jog while in town for business. Very nice little 1.2 mile asphalt covered path around the middle of the park made it easy to get a run in without getting lost. There are multiple drinking fountains to hydrate along the path. There are also lots of places to sit and just chill if you... More

I had gone there for a number of years and my experiences included homosexuals driving up next to me trying to date me, people also driving next to me having sezx in their cars. I was harassed by employees after I complained to the parks dept about cars parked on Himes and waiting to come in, the was told not... More

Its nice to see a park so heavily used for so many different activities! Located in the center of Tampa near the stadium, Al Lopez park has a nature and walking trail (1.2 miles,) dog park, open fields for sports, fishing pier, shelters that are usually filled with birthday parties and family gatherings, a huge playground and a drum circle... Lots of people, a decent trail, a playground, etc. They usually have some sort of festival going on here.

for a park in the middle of town. There is a long walking path, that goes around a small pond at the north end of the park. There are also several picnic areas and two dog parks, so it's a great local find.

Nice trail to run or walk on....usually quiet. Check for events at the stadium parking can get crazy...if something is going on. There are usually homeless people in the woods around the lake but they have always been harmless they feed the stray cats.

There is a lot to this park. A very nice all purpose trail that makes maybe a mile loop. Awesome playground. Boardwalk around a pond. Pond with pier. Picnic shelters. Restrooms.

Al Lopez Park has something for everyone. You can walk, run, bike, or jog your way around two scenic routes. One has exercise equipment and restrooms along the way as well as access to picnic tables, the children's play area, sports field and dog park. The other takes you through a forested canopy over a boardwalk and wooden bridge past... More
