This is a great way to spend a Sunday morning. The food is good, interesting and reasonably priced and the atmosphere is social and inviting. The seating is on picnic tables and the view of the river is great. And the deep fried sweet potatoes or plaintains are to die for.

A great weekend trip for lunch. When the weather is nice, eat outside and enjoy the views. Great shopping and authentic food in many varieties. Good prices. Everyone should try if you like authentic settings and food.

The Wat Mongkolrata Temple was a great surprise and a fun Sunday mid-morning to mid afternoon experience. We arrived around 10:30am and parking was hard to find; it was packed. The food is great, not spicy at all...you have to add your own spice that they have available. The food is inexpensive (cash only) and tasty. The breeze under the... More

When in Tampa, visit the Wat Mongkolrata Temple to enjoy Thai food and see a temple! Come early as parking is abundant but may take patience to find. Also...the buying your food will make you fall in looooong lines in hoping that the dish you want will not run out. Food service practically stops around 1 pm.

You have to visit the Thai Temple! Not only is the food authentic and yummy, the scenery and location is gorgeous. Bring cash and check out the plants for sale. We bought a pitcher plant that eats flies over a year ago, and it's still going strong! We visit often!

We lived in Japan for three years and traveled to SE Asia on a few occasions. This was just the trip if you miss your days in Thailand, Cambodia, or Vietnam. Great good and picnic area.

This was my first visit to the temple. My daughter said that it was a 'must' visit to buy the soup and other foods and to walk around the beautiful property. I was not disappointed. To experience Thai food, that was made really well and inexpensive, it is a win win. The soup is especially good and the line waiting... More
