Fishing, boating, camping, biking, kayaking, sunbathing, sightseeing. Amazing, beautiful park with endless activities for everyone. Lots of parking, restrooms and snack shops. The Fort itself is worth the visit.

Enjoyed the park. Didn't tour the fort, saving that for next time. Snorkeled and walked the beach. Found plenty of shells and saw lots of dolphins. Didn't stay for a sunset, would be spectacular from that beach. The shore current was very strong that day...More

Fort De Soto has very nice beaches, but it is quite a drive. If you don't go there often you forget where to go and there are not very good signs and organization. A nice place with both shade and sun and natural Florida beauty....More

July weather is going to be Hot and humid everywhere in Florida. The fire pit is $3/ night or you can buy one there for $28.99 and keep it or bring your own - its just an aluminum bucket.
