Great herons, egrets, cormorants and other nesting birds on a small tree filled island in a pond. Come during the nesting season and see many bird families on this rookery.

We stumbled across this tonight it was fascinating watching the birds settle in! Lotsof nests with mothers and babies, thenthe bats came out,so worth it

The place is small. It is all about a man made lake with a little island that they call the "rookery" , that seems to be a favoured place for "mating". Great for photographers.

Went to the rookery last evening. Nestlings, especially herons are near adult size. Ibis are more like babies. I can't say what it would be like by April.Nevertheless, I can say that the rookery will be a great place for... More

We are renters ourselves, so we do not have anything available. I would suggest trying some of the real estate companies in Venice.
