I love this place! The beach is so quiet unadulterated. Great beach for shark teeth hunting as well. Most days the beach is so quiet without anyone on it.

Good clean beach with clear water that you could see the bottom up to 4 feet down. Good changing facilities and parking. The water was like bathwater and was calm. It is nicer and less populated on the left of the fishing pier.

Venice Beach by far is one of the most beautiful beaches in the US. Siesta Key is close by, but Venice Beach is just as nice. Nice Pavilion there for Families. Lifeguards are on duty. The beach is combed everyday. Of course its busy on...More

I believe that Venice Beach is one of the best beaches in Southwest Florida. It's walking distance to many quaint stores and places to eat, and it's close to Sharky's Bar on the Gulf, which is still on the island of Venice, and not far...More

Very nice beach. In the evenings there is music under the pavilion. We like the free yoga on the beach in the morning. Mid day lots of people. Friday nights gospel sing.

The beach was nothing to shout about.I spent 5 minutes and left. No shaded areas. Sand felt more like crushed rocks than sand. Barbados beaches are 100 times better

Spent a delightful morning here with family. Incredible amount of bait fish in the water, along with feasting pelicans! Great place to swim and snorkel with shallow sand spit. Sand seemed hot after white sands in and around Naples.

Venice has a Dog Beach very close to Venice Beach and the dogs have a wonderful time on this beach. Venice Beach, itself, is NOT a dog beach. Enjoy.

Drive a little south to Caspersen Beach. If you have more time a drive to Sanibel Island would be even better.

If you have any respiratory issues, I suggest you avoid Venice Beach due to the RED TIDE phenomenon. None of the tourism sites mention it but it's serious and irritated my health problems
