This beach is great for family’s in particular. Large area patrolled by life guards, not too sloping, beach cafe and volleyball net. Parking can be a bit tight unless you are prepared to walk just those few metres. Close to the town for some retail therapy...More

Okay beach. Not too busy/crowded. Extremely convenient to local eateries and shopping. Enjoyed the drum circle on Sunday night.

This was our first trip here and we will be back. The water was cleaner than Daytona Beaches and the sand was whiter and softer.

Nice family oriented beach. We sat close to Sharky’s on the Pier restaurant. Note there are no lifeguards in this area. Try to find some shark teeth while you are walking the beach, unfortunately we did not have much luck finding too many. The sand...More

We stayed at the Inn across the street so access was easy. Unfortunately pre-hurricane weather held off swimming for awhile but the clouds made the sunset/ rise beautiful! There were a decent amount of shells and we even found a sand dollar in the water!

A great place to just drive up, park, and enjoy the Gulf of Mexico and the sunshine. Beautiful sand and a quiet beach.

The beach has coarse sand which is good for sifting for shark teeth fossils and shelling. Beautiful beach to walk, relax or join in the beach activities of yoga, volleyball orfishing.

Drive a little south to Caspersen Beach. If you have more time a drive to Sanibel Island would be even better.

If you have any respiratory issues, I suggest you avoid Venice Beach due to the RED TIDE phenomenon. None of the tourism sites mention it but it's serious and irritated my health problems
