The beach is beautiful and much less crowded than that found at Siesta Key. It is flat enough to allow comfortable walking. We've seen dauphins, beautiful birds and even a manatee from time to time.

We came here to read by the ocean and we're delighted to find good parking until we realized there was a reason for that .....red tide was causing enough irritation that we began coughing before we unloaded the chairs and umbrella. We will try again another day!

I live in Venice and have gone to Venice beach many times. It is a good beach, centrally located and has plenty of parking in contrast to Siesta Key which is crowded and difficult to park. The beach has a food stand which is privately owned and has a few sandwiches, also breakfast. There is ample seating for a snack.... More

Went with friends to the Shark's Tooth Capital of the World beach. Excellent city beach with lifeguards. Free parking. All the shark's teeth you can find. Lot's of fun --super weather helped. Can't say enough good things about Venice beaches!

Free & no charge for parking. Large beach area with life guard stations, public restrooms and consession area for beverages and light food/snacks. Entertainment & dancing music some nights-see entertainment schedule posted at concession area. Drum Circle Sundays starts before sunset - get there early for best parking availability & bring chairs. Also yoga on the beach mornings.

The parking lot was crowded when I pulled in, in early afternoon. I circled twice and found a spot. Conditioned by the parking lots at Gulf beaches further south, I went looking for the parking machine and could not find it. Worried, I asked a local pulling in how much parking was and was delighted to find out that parking... More

My hubby and I were so very excited to go to this beach because it is supposed to be the shark tooth capital. What a joke ... Although the beach itself is fantastically clean and beautiful, there are no to very, very few shark teeth to be found. Since this was our first go-round finding them, we had to learn... More

parking is free, lot of people looking for shark's teeth, if thats what byour into fine. But it is not a nice sandy beach for sunbathing. Too rocky(small stones) and too many shells. People are not very friendly, too interested in finding teeth. All seemed very small
