Captain Gary and son put on a fantastic tour of the Weeki Wachee River and estuary. His knowledge of the natural environment and friendly demeanor made the trip a special experience.

Wonderful day in a fascinating ecosystem on a clean and shaded boat. We saw several manatees, some fish, an eagle, and other birds along the coast. The captains and crew are very knowledgeable, friendly, and seem to love their jobs.

Absolutely fantastic tours on Weeki Watchee River and a sunset tour into the Gulf of Mexico. Run by Captain Gary and his first mate, Brian, they are as good as it gets. The boat is comfortable and large. I loved that they both told us their stories about growing up in Florida and the environment. Super knowledgable, Captain Gary would discuss the history of the different landscape we passed and sections of the river like the Fish Hospital. I'll let him tell you about it, but I wished I'd brought a swimsuit for that section of the river. The best part is that Captain Gerry and Brian, his brother, can spot anything. They know where the animals are going to be before the animals know. :) They are also very chill and create a great environment on the boat. What I loved (notice how I keep using this word) is that Gary clearly loves what he does. He loves the area, the animals and the people he encounters. It's a pleasure to have a tour given by someone with this deep knowledge and connection to the environment. While I'm not sure what it would be like when it rains, I would love to go back on this tour to shoot some sunset photos with clouds. I would only expect it would be even more incredible than the tour was today. So, if it's a little cloudy--you've lucked out! There's nothing like Florida clouds.
