We loved the Palm Beach Zoo, it is big enough to cover in a couple of hours, but not too huge to spend a half day there. Plus, we liked the small animal presentations/shows in which you can learn interesting facts about so many animals,...More

Hello Hopeful4aVacation, Small and intimate -- we are all about our guests experiencing the animals up close and personal. You were likely at the tiger habitat right before dinner time - just like us - they know when it's time to eat! ;)

Full disclosure: I've been a volunteer at the Palm Beach Zoo for more than 10 years. But that's not why I think you should visit here. This is a zoo that won't bring in animals uncomfortable in the local environment. That focuses on education over...More

I was surprised by how good this zoo was. They have a nice variety of animals, and explain things well and creatively, even though the signs are in English only (I noticed a large number of Spanish-speaking visitors). Much of the area is shaded, which...More

Lots packed into a small zoo. Talks on different kinds of animals. Show of "birds of wings". Problem when zoo doesn't have enough staff when anticipated crowd is larger than expected. That also impacted their one and only restaurant to eat lunch. There was a...More

Hello spytravelgirl, Thanks for taking the time to share your opinion!

This is my opinion. I did not like the Palm Beach zoo. To me it was very dirty, outdated and it just seemed like there was not many animals. There was way to many birds. I felt like that's all you were looking at was...More
