Beautiful beach

Lovely beach but it is a little treacherous due to the rocks and waves. The far side of the beach was much calmer and ideal for families.

A quick ride from the dock...the trip there is fun and the sighs are incredibly lush, and primitive...the beach and the bay view worth the trip.

This is a great beach located on the southeast side of the island. It is fairly easy to get to by car and the roads to it are some the best on the island - that is a bonus. Beautiful sandy beach curving in a crescent moon pattern. Waves and can be big and rough as east winds are faily... More

This place has a resort on the beach that was destroyed by a hurricane in 1997. But the beach is still beautiful and you can walk over to the other bay alone the ridge. Be careful for the Black Sea urchin. Also if you're feeling dangerous go and check out the deserted resort.

Half Moon Bay is a lovely stretch of sand on the East coast of Antigua. There was a hotel there some years ago, but it was destroyed by a hurricane, and, sadly, the ruins have not been either restored or removed. Nevertheless it is a beautiful place, with a sheltered side and a much windier side, and you'd need to... More

Half Moon bay is a bit remote but worth the drive (plus, you can eat just in front as there is a nice beach restaurant at the entrance of the beach). The water is clear and it is great for snorkeling. What we liked the most was that different sorts of fish came and swam between our legs just 2... More

This Antiguan beauty is usually pretty quiet because of its remote location but it has everything you dream of for a Caribbean beach- white sand, warm turquoise water , trees to hand your hammock, tranquil pools for kids, body surf level wave action, ample parking and a licensed snack bar.

Make sure to take a swim at this beautiful beach. The Beach Bum Bar & Grill has delicious fresh fish served right on the beach. Enjoy!

We have visited may beaches on our trips around the islands and the reviews that this could be one of the top ten in the Caribbean could not be ignored. However.. from our villa in Jolly Habor it was an solid hour travel and I'm not sure it would qualify as a top ten. Not that the drive was bad... More

My wife and I have been trying to spot the best snorkelling beaches on Antigua. Half Moon Bay is fairly good at both sides of the bay. Most striking is however the beauty of the place. White and pink sand that stretches in a crescent for about one kilometer. Even better: almost no people. We spent a day at the... More
