There are so many activities and classes available in any area you desire. I have already attended 3 this month. Check it out for the whole family! Almost free entertainment and education.

They keep this library up really nice. It's a GREAT place to check your email if you do not have a cell phone.

I grew up here (well, ok, not IN the library!) but it was my first job. They have a great selection of books, CDs, movies, all kinds of media to help you stay informed. And they have nice art! You can see great art from our local award-winning art festival, on view throughout the library. Go ahead- explore!

Summer reading is always an adventure. With the children being placed in elementary, middle and high school it gets kind of interesting finding books on the sunshine state readers list. The staff are very helpful. The floors actually separate the adults from the children which is understandable however, it makes it a little difficult to multi task. The only suggestion that I would give is placing the movie section in a different area from the kids interaction area/teen room.

Da wife and I were staying at the Alfond Inn while attending the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Show (which is outstanding!). The library was right next door so we strolled over to look around. I think Winter Park is building a new library to replace this one but that’s a couple years off.

What I really liked is that every year Winter Park buys the Best Of Show piece from the arts festival and it goes into the library for display. Some were definitely winners. Others….. well art is subjective!

I did get a kick out of the sign invoking the help of Shakespeare, Dr. Suess and Jane Austen to plead with people not to abuse the bathroom.

It’s worth a relaxing stroll around!
