Located around 2 and half hours drive from Toronto, the drive was really amazing. We went there early April and there were still patches of snow visible. Had a great time sitting beside the fall with my partner. It was a quiet, clean and calm place. The place is located near the road, you won't miss the view. Spent some time over there sitting next to the water. If you enjoy driving this is a good place to visit. The drive is a combination of motorway and driving in midst of small towns. The nearest town is Kinmount. A small beautiful town if you need anything to eat. Nothing is around for at least 10 to 15 kms.

Our nephew took us to Furnace Falls to swim yesterday and it was fantastic! The waterfalls and rapids are beautiful and there's a great spot to swim at the bottom. Plenty of big flat rocks to sit in the sun and soak up the natural beauty. Ample parking and picnic tables are available.

The park was great. Had gone there many times with family. Had a family picnic for Thanksgiving this year. Approximately 30 of us there. Unfortunately some had to leave early as bathrooms were not maintained. Port-o-potties were overflowing. Disgusting. Hopefully this was an oversight and not their new standard of care.

Stopped off to fish on our way back from up North like we usually do and I don’t know what happened to this once beautiful little park. The maintenance on this place is not being done anymore. The port-o-potty is so full of flies and filthy that people are using the surrounding bushes. How sad!

This small park and falls is located between Kinmount and Gooderam on the Irondale River. At Kinmount turn onto Peterborough County Rd # 503 ; the park and falls area are about 6 miles past Kinmount .
Although just off the highway it is a lovely place to picnic and offers trails along the river. The falls is very picturesque.

Furnace falls is a small but clean and pristine white water falls about 225 kms from Toronto. It is safe for kids and easily accessible for all in the family.

A nice roadside park with a look-out on the the Furnace Falls. The park itself is pretty basic, mostly just a bunch of driving trails through the forest, but the falls themselves are worth a look.
