This was the last of six highpoints on my road trip and again was caught in a rain storm. The park is very nice and I hiked the six tenths of a mile up a paved trail to the summit. I did not want to...More

Wonderful views, 360 degrees. We went on a very clear day and could see Atlanta skyline (with binoculars) and snow on Clingmans Dome. The rangers were very helpful. We had a wonderful visit to Brasstown Bald Mountain. We want to go back during the fall...More

Awesome views just like the pictures. Fall is the best time when colors are changing. They need to repair the decking at the viewing platform. I hit a few spots that about broke through. I noticed one support pole that was rotted all the way...More

The views from the summit are breathtaking. It had been 35+ years since coming here. If you're feeling a little adventerous, hike to the summit instead of taking the shuttle.

Not really a problem if you are used to a manual.
How difficult is the drive up the mountain? We got a small SUV and don't like steep, winding roads!

Steep winding roads for sure. Once you get to the visitor center you are on level ground and can take the shuttle to the lookout. Be brave, go for the adventure. You will love the view from the lookout.
