Great for a summer field trip

My children enjoyed this as a summer break field trip. Their favorite part was the ice cream at the end, however they did learn about cows and how ice cream is made.

We enjoyed the tour. I wish they were doing something while we were there. They were cleaning the machines, so we really didn't get to see the milk go in the jugs. Our tour guide was very good. He was very informative.

A great day for the kiddies going to the Mayfield Dairy tour. Take a tour of the facilities and see how the milk is transformed from the cow to the bottled product. First you'll watch a short video and then off to the tour. At the nd, for a fee of coarse you can get an ice cream cone and... More

Great place for field trips for the kids and adults. The ice cream is of course great and the little country store is a good one

Nowadays when you visit you watch a 20 minute video on the dairy then walk down 3 hallways and watch the process from behind glass windows...no more milking the cow, etc. I know it's for health and legal issues but still a disappointment. Best part is they have all the flavors you can try for a small price and having... More

Only grandparents really provide times of "the great adventure "! We chose to surprise our 4 year old granddaughter with a trip to Mayfield Dairy in Braselton. It was neat that we saw big yellow trucks on interstate 85 and they were waving as we passed. We enjoyed the tour but it was a little advanced for a 4 year... More

It is always nice to see the tour and find out how the product is made, the hygiene, see the workers etc but let's face it we come for the ice cream. they have great ice creme but i like their butter pecan and my wife the peach. If we are traveling up I-85 for any reason the car just seems... More

Both fun and informative, this tour is well worth the stop if you have time. For four dollars to get the tour in a big scoop or two of ice cream at the end! Be careful with the gift shop, the kids will want lots of the fun things they display. Our guide was both informative and friendly.
