The tree is located in a section of Brunswick GA that you wouldn’t expect. Houses line both sides of the street and lovers oak is in the median. The tree is 900 years old and sure wished it could have talked. The history and stories...More

When driving thru Brunswick decided to take a look at this oldie. Enjoyed checking this tree out. Snapped some pictures as this tree is definitely an unusual site. Would recommend a look if in the area of town.

Located in the old part of town - its fun to drive around block after block of old victorian houses. It's almost like going back in time.

Walked over after visiting the Yellow Deli. Hard to get a good picture since it is located in an intersection. Was great to witness it in person and imagine all that the tree has been through. During the day I felt fine walking through the...More

First of all this isn’t in the best part of town. The tree itself is beautiful but I would recommend visiting the Howfyl plantation to see some magnificent oaks in a safe environment. The history is impressive but I was not impressed by anything else.

Lover's Oak is located at the intersection of Albany Street and Prince Street. When you drive South on Albany it will be in the center median. A very, very large oak.

This tree was absolutely stunning. So glad they chose to preserve it all these years. There was a little more traffic than I thought would be, but it was a beauty to see. It is in a median in the middle of the street, so...More

On my first trip to Brunswick, I stayed in the historic neighborhood and took a walk down grand streets, viewing renovated, stately houses, and lush vegetation. I came upon this tree and enjoyed reading about it.

Nothing fancy - just that magnificent old tree. Fun to see. It sits in the middle of a residential street, and is cared for, which was nice to see as well.
