Great fun

Group of mature ladies visited and sought gemstones and had a great time. Some bought the $20 bucket and some bought the $30 buckets. But all brought home some beauties.

My husband and I have been to Gold N Gem Grubbin' several times and have ALWAYS had a GREAT experience. The folks really care and will go out of their way to help you, with your panning or in identifying your gemstones. This year, we have found a little over 7 grams of gold in the creek and numerous gemstones!... More

Planned a week long vacation to GA, all things related to GOLD! We went to Gold Consolidated, Crisson Gold Mine and last but not least Gold n Gem Grubbin. Very pleased with the tour at Consolidated, and enjoyed the multiple things to do at Crisson. Our last stop was GNGG. We were going to run our highbanker at the river... More

We paid for 4 hours of gold panning on their Creek. There were three spots to pan at and each of the three spots had a loud piece of professional equipment being used by other customers that was as loud as a generator. Definitely took away from the experience. These customers could do a bucket in a few minutes and... More

This was our second visit and my 15 year old son and I had a great time. Though they have a very nice setup for sifting through buckets of seeded dirt for younger kids, what makes this place exceptional is the opportunity to shovel sand from a real gold and gem mine into buckets, and take it to the river... Nothing special about the place, but our younger grandkids enjoyed it. No stones of value were expected, and none were found.

10 of our family went this weekend and had a good time. The staff are nice and helpful for all skill levels. The sand used in gold mining has been filtered for size and you pay based on how large the gold pieces will be. I'd recommend the $75 bucket, it is cheaper than the $150 and the gold pieces... More

Most beautiful gem stones. Husband bought my engagement ring here & it is gorgeous and was a great price. Sometimes we visit here just to enjoy the view of the river and check out the old mining equipment around the property. Really cool place to visit and take your family or go on a romantic date with your special someone.

Brilliant! I went with my Dad and daughters in August 2016. We waded in the river with some shovels and pans and dug around. My father found a very nice colored stone which was a good size and gave it to my youngest daughter, Sam. A few days later we found out that it was a ruby and we sent... More

We bought a large bucket for the family to split as we panned for gems. The kids LOVED discovering their treasures and then visiting the in-house lapidary shop.
