My 10 year old and I started our biking at the McFarland Road trailhead and we made it almost all the way to the end. All in I think we did just over 11 miles. It can get crowded especially on the weekends and on nice days. It's all paved and relatively flat most of the way. Great afternoon on... More

The trail is scenic, lots of shade and nice people. Miles of trails await and nature abounds. This trail is so fantastic! They have waste bags for pets and most people use them. There are also regularly spaced benches to take a break if you need. The trail north of Bethelview gets very steep with hills. Not sure biking that... More

The partially paved, partially boardwalk'd trail is wide enough to accommodate recreators even on busy Saturdays. It's tough to get lost, and easy to turn around. Multiple parking lots make accessing the trail easy. I've been out there many, many times, and I've never felt alone or unsafe. Often, you see deer out there, and always you see jogging strollers.

I have run several 5k's on the greenway over the past few years and it is just perfect. It is flat but not boring and the path is large enough that you can get around people. It is great for an easy walk after work or a regular run path for those training for a marathon.

The Greenway is a local treasure! 9+ miles of paved/boardwalk tails frequented by fitness enthusiasts, bikers, and runners - great wildlife/bird viewing. Ample parking at most trailheads. Fowler Park also has tons of options for recreation + the Greenway access.

We are so blessed to have this Greenway in our county. I have walked, jogged and biked on this Greenway. Moving to Austin and I will miss this treasure.

The Forsyth County Greenway is a trail system that is first rate! Pets are welcome, it is clean, pretty much flat, diverse as far as forest and fields, and filled with nice people. Love the Greenway.

Go here. Pick any one of the many entry points. You will not be disappointed any time of the year. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. There are benches to sit and a couple of parks with tables. Take a day pack and lunch. Enjoy the outdoors. It's FREE!

I enjoy the trail and being surrounded by the nature. The trail runs over Big Creek multiple times. Forsyth County Arborists placed signs which can teach both children and adults more about identifying trees (and poison ivy!!). This trail is great for people of all ages and fitness levels
