Great way to experience how Great Britain's military soldiers lived and secured the area during pre-colonial times. Wonderful history opportunity. Structures are small and doorways short so watch your head!

I love Ft. King George. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Even more, they are personable. They gladly and willingly spend time with visitors demonstrating and explaining the history of the area, its settlers and defense of the fort. I have spent many days...More

Started with a family picnic. Picnic area is well kept and the light breeze keeps the bugs away. Personnel in the gift shop and museum area are very friendly with a lot of information to share. The fort itself is a hidden gem of history...More

Loved visiting the oldest Ft. along the Georgia coastline. The friendly folks here were very helpful. They even let us borrow their golf cart. I have back issues and its a struggle to walk long distances...sometimes even short distances. They were very kind. The fort...More

One of the oldest in the country, a must see in Darien established 1763. Near the coastal waters of the Golden Isles.
