This place has some great history about racing! We happened to stumble on this place and it was a true find! It is a million dollar facility but reflects the time that has gone bye.

Would I recommend this as a destination - no. But would I absolutely suggest it as a stopping point - yes. The racing hall of fame and moonshine museum are together and the people are friendly. The racing hall of fame had an interesting (though not high quality) movie at the beginning that was short. My first taste of moonshine... More

We went here back in June. We knew it was there but never bothered to stop in so we finally did. We didn't go on the side where the cars were located but we did the entrance side where all the photo's and history explanations were. It was nicely set up and organized. Some real nice pictures dated back to... More

We drove from Helen to Dawsonville because we had seen a review for The Hall of Fame here on Trip Adviser. We were very disappointed. The outside of the Hall of Fame is very flashy and a great photo-op, but that's about all there is. There was nobody inside to show us around and mostly we just saw some photos... More

The museum building has a nice design from the outside. The interior of the museum has around 10 cars or so including one that crashed during a race. Would like to see the car that you can sit in to have the "game working". If you are a Bill Elliott fan this is a must. Would recommend for any NASCAR... More

To be honest, I wasn't expecting much from this place. I was very pleasantly surprised. It shares a building with City Hall and a moonshine distillery. It begins with a short movie in a very cute theater... made to look like a drive in. You can sit on a tailgate or in a car. Then you go through the exhibit.... More

Can't wait to go back! Info on Bill Elliott and Chase Elliott. History of how the sport developed and many cars to see.

Went thru this racing Hall of Fame and could have stayed there a solid week and not been able to see everything - cars, exhibits, trophies and pictures. I had no idea there would be so much material about the Elliot family - right down to little Chase. We are seniors so got a $1.00 discount which came to $5.00... More

Got here late in the day and very nice lady kept the museum open for us to finish looking thru it. Interesting intro film where you get to sit in seats made out of the back ends of cars. If you like Bill Elliot, you will love this place!

Nice place to visit. Great history on racing and plenty of cars and artifacts to enjoy looking at. There is even a free racing game for the kids and adults to enjoy.
