Suburban oasis
Jun. 2021
Very good free, well-maintained suburban forested oasis. Has excellent signage, playground, even hammocks and sheltered piano! Great place for adults to relax and for youngsters to learn and enjoy their natural surroundings. Adjacent to public elementary school - how lucky for those students!

Connect With Nature
Aug. 2019 • Family
My wife and I recently visited the Nature Center with our four year old Granddaughter. She absolutely loves this place from the trails by the creek, to the playground, to the hammocks; but her absolute favorite was the animals she got to see and touch. She was both fascinated, excited and I think a little apprehensive all at the same time. The employees we encountered were very informative and could not have been nicer or more helpful. The Nature Center is family friendly, clean and well maintained. It is a wonderful place to connect with nature. We had an absolutely great visit and will definitely return. Open daily 7am to sundown. Limited parking at the center with additional parking a short distance away. There is a new school being built adjacent to the center so lots of construction in the area.

The playground is great, there is a creek, and admission is free. This is a great place to go to get some fresh air and enjoy the outdoors.

Fun in a fantastic environment, Surprise Enjoyment
Aug. 2017 • Family
This is one of the BEST parks. There is a creek where you can take your feet for a swim and just enjoy the sounds of the babbling brook. There is a hammock camp of about 6 or 8 hammocks set up and ready for you to relax and enjoy. The playground has 2 separate areas set up. There is one for toddlers (under 5 I think) and one for older big kids. There is a rope caterpillar that you can ride on with the kids, which is really a lot of fun. Then there is the ?bungee? saucer swing. It's such a good time to be had.

If you have a stroller, you will have to take the long way around from the hammocks to the playground. We managed (BARELY) to get two strollers up the 'nature' steps to save time.

The kids had a blast and did not want to leave. You could honestly spend the WHOLE day there.

Oh - I almost forgot. There is a Public Piano that you can play while your group and others sit by in the nearby seating area.

PLEASE visit this park, you will NOT regret it.

A wonderful place to bring a friend, children, family or just a quiet walk. Hidden in the City of Dunwoody with trails, shade, a creek and wild life. A must see and visit the web site for information. 👍🇺🇸😀

Perfect for a date.
Oct. 2016 • Couples
This is where my husband and I had our first date. We sat at the base of the waterfall having a picnic. Then took a walk on the trails.

this is too close to get a train/rail to go around the city and shuttle facility available to catch local trains.
