LOVE this place!

You want to learn it? Spruill probably has a class for it! I've been taking classes from them since 2006. The instructors are highly talented, super knowledgeable, very nice and generous to a fault. I would highly recommend taking a class or even getting your feet wet with a workshop. Try it, but I warn you, you'll be hooked!

I have taken fused glass classes at Spruill. I found my teacher lacking in adult teaching skills. She taught elementary school. When it came time to use the kilm, she did so herself, and because she was short of time, she ruined many of the classes' work. I am not certain that this is indicative of all the instructors,as this was my first class taken here.

Love Taking Classes Here

I signed up for classes when I first moved in the area and I'm so thankful that we have this center in Dunwoody! I've only taken pottery and handbuilding courses so far but I have a long wish list! You can register for everything online and they usually have a decent variety of times scheduled for their courses. I find the pricing to be reasonable and I definitely think you get more than your money's worth out of it. Couldn't recommend Spurill more!

I spent a week at the Spruill Center for a chasing and repoussé workshop. The center offers a variety of classes lasting from a few hours to a week or more. In addition, the center maintains a gallery of student works, some of which are actually quite good. The building which houses the Spruill Center also contains a theater which gives regular performances, and the Dekalb County Public Library. The staff at the Spruill Center are very helpful, and even if you aren't taking one of their many classes, an hour or so spent there can be a very enjoyable experience.
