The Georgia Guidestones have an interesting history behind them, and they are very interesting to visit once and to read... but it's in the middle of a field in the middle of nowhere, with no other attraction around it. For those with a deeper historical...More

This is a long drive to the middle of a field with nothing else there except the stones. I have now seen them but I will not go back for another visit. Strangely interesting!!

Very interesting stop on the way back from Pendergrass Flea Market. Nice stop to get out of the car and stretch the legs and read.

Neat to see and cool for the kids to run around for 15minutes. I would not make a special trip to here, but if passing by it, it is worth a short stop. Just keep your expectations in check.

I had seen a TV program about the guide stones and figured since they were close I would stop by a see them. The location is a bit underwhelming, but it was picked for a reason. The guide stones are placed in the middle of...More

Words of wisdom literally in the middle of nowhere but on a weekday 5 cars there needs a park around it. But still loved it !

We arrived a little before noon. There were other people there to view the event. We all patiently waited as noon approached. Someone spotted the light! A tiny dot. As noon approached in got a little bigger, revealing small lines. The small dot moved across...More

Don't listen to these people. It's not "shady" and there are plenty of gas stations. It's also not "mountains." A few hills but not really mountains. There's a Days Inn in Elberton. But I recommend the Samuel Elbert... More

I don't see why you couldn't throw down a blanket and spread out a picnic. It's in the middle of a field, so as long as the ground isn't wet from all the resent rain, there is plenty of open area. I didn't notice any... More
