MOST of the hikes around this area are quite strenuous -- which is not a problem for me but might be for you. This is an exception -- and there really is a waterfall at the end of the 2.5 mi long trail. There are also first-come, first-camp sites along the way on the creek -- there are no bad... More

well worth the hike. Saw several small falls on the way, but the real journey is at the end where an amazing view awaits you

It's an easy and pet friendly hike around Helen. Will take around an hour one-way. Trail is by the stream and I like the water sound all the way when you hike.

We climbed this as a family. This was the first time as a family we have climbed the mountain. I have done many. Be prepared with proper boots that have ankle support and traction, have plenty of water, a good camera and some snacks. You can make a good day of it. Minimum time to spend walking at a good... By far the best trail I've ever been on in this area. There are so many beautiful falls and views along the way. The end is defintely worth the hike. I will advise that it is a difficult and long trek. I do not recommend for small children or those unable to hike long distances through difficult terrain. I was... More

The "main" falls is interesting but there are a few very pretty falls along the trail. If you want to get to the top of the falls, go right. It's a very challenging climb to the top, not worth the risk in retrospect.

This 5 mile round trip trail is my favorite in the north Georgia mountains. It was a beautiful walk along the stream ending at a unique waterfall. Make sure you go up the last hill at the end to see Raven Cliff falls between the cliffs. I took my 7 year old, but a couple of steep spots and drop... More

An easy hike along tumbling streams with gorgeous rhododendrons (not in bloom on our visit in the fall, of course) as an understory and tall trees providing shade throughout. We arrived in the morning while many of the tent campers were still sleeping, some quite close to the trail. The falls themselves were diminished due to the drought, but the... More

This is our third time hiking Raven Falls. It is a must do each time we visit Georgia. It did not disappoint the third time around. Simply stunning!

The hike is approximately 5 miles round trip culminating at a waterfall cascading through sheer cliffs. There are a few places with steep drop offs but generally the hike is moderate difficulty.
